Stories are culture, and culture is built from the ground up, from the people. Institutions don’t make culture, but we can be a home for it. Every day at GCTC we are working to build a better home for stories and storytellers. I hope you will come visit us in this home for culture. Our quest to make it increasingly open and accessible is ongoing. Theatre is meant for everyone.

The theatre is also revamping their subscription options, creating a more accessible pricing structure to welcome more people into the live theatre experience.

The award also includes a protégé, chosen by the Award winner, underlining the importance of skills and knowledge transmission in leadership building. Hugh has named GCTC Company Manager Celina Hawkins as his protégé. Congratulations to Hugh and Celina!

An unconference is a place to generate and distill ideas. There is no panel of experts. Instead, there is a dynamic, democratic discussion involving everyone present, leading to action items and solutions generated by the group.
