The Fritzi Gallery opened to the public in the fall of 2007 thanks to the generous gift made by Janet Yale, in honour of her late mother and artist, Lorraine 'Fritzi' Yale and TELUS.

Artistic Statement

I'm grateful to have had the chance to meet a wide variety of people that keep the GCTC running. It became even clearer to me what you already know—that this is a welcoming and inclusive community, joyfully committed to sharing mind-expanding experiences that challenge and inform our worldviews for the better, providing each of us the space to share and explore who we are and what we believe.

Every portrait you see here is the result of a creative collaboration. My hope is that this offers a decent glimpse of what the GCTC is all about in 2024— because an institution is its people. I am so glad to have shared moments with these remarkable folks, and the whole project has been a good memory I will carry with me.
